Day 3 | EXPRESSION FULLY SURRENDERED

“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

God expresses His love through rejoicing and singing over you. The Hebrew word for “rejoice” means to spin around under the influence of a violent emotion. In Luke 15:25, Jesus says music and dancing could be heard as the Father welcomed His son back home. This is a picture of expression, which at its core, is a response!

Connecting with God through Expression is when you use your creativity to enter into God’s presence. When you create, you are outwardly expressing what you feel and think towards God. You may feel you cannot contain it and must do something to demonstrate your love for Him as His presence fills you up. Remember that you are ministering unto the Lord as you create and not unto man as you create. Expression is an opportunity for intimacy, not performance. Therefore, don’t get caught up in what your expression looks, feels, tastes, or sounds like. You can’t fail if you aim to please the Lord!

PRAYER

Lord, I know that You rejoice and sing over me. Thank You for expressing Your love for me. I want to encounter You deeper and understand how You created me to express my love back to You. Amen.

APPLICATION

• Ask God if you have ever held back your expression because of fear of what people might think. Repent for not giving Him what He is worthy of!
• Take a moment in your encounter now to create unashamedly!
