Prayer Initiative : RevelationSýnishorn

Quite a few centuries ago, prophet Ezekiel was handed a scroll of a book with writing on the front and the back - words of lamentation and mourning and woe. Then, he was told to open his mouth and eat that scroll: "Son of man, feed your belly with this scroll that I give you and fill your stomach with it" (Ezekiel 3:3). Ezekiel obeyed God and consumed His words. He took them inside and they were sweet like honey. They melted in his mouth and went down until they filled his whole being. And God said to Ezekiel: "Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them." Ezekiel obeyed again and went.
In Revelation 10 John, the Beloved Apostle, is entrusted now with a new scroll from God. He ate the scroll, just like Ezekiel did and it was sweet in his mouth and sour in his stomach, just as it was for Ezekiel. But this time the message remained a mystery. John was explicitly instructed to not reveal what he had seen and heard. This is such an important reminder about the sovereignty of God. Only He knows the times and places for all things. We are not meant to know everything, but to trust Him, the supreme Ruler of the universe.
Take a moment to ponder on what you've read and respond to God in prayer.
PRAYER
- Pray for a bold and strategic preaching of the Gospel.
- Pray for innovative ideas and initiatives to reach the big cities.
- Pray for breakthroughs in the Digital Space.
- Pray for Bible translations. About 99.8 million people in the world (1,268 languages) still need a Bible in their language.
- Pray also for the release of the new animated version of Jesus film (December 2025). Ask the Holy Spirit to prepare the way and open people's minds and hearts to be interested in Christ.
- Pray for a huge impact on a global scale.
