I've Got the Blues: Devotions From Time of Grace MinistryEgzanp

HEAVEN IS WAITING: GLORIFIED BODIES
I've occasionally heard people say, "I don't need money, fancy vacations, fame, or a huge home as long as I have my health." Well, what if you don't have your health anymore? Most baby boomers will remember a famous line from The Who song "My Generation" that talked about hoping to die before getting old. Are you afraid of the aging process? Do you feel sick or weak or old right now?
If you're a believer in Christ, you can enjoy the wisdom and serenity that come with age, knowing that shaky hands and bad knees are only temporary. Soon we will all enjoy glorified bodies. Isaiah says in chapter 35, "Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts . . . your God will come . . . to save you" (verses 3,4).
Complete physical restoration of bone, tissue, cartilage, blood, hair, and skin is a piece of cake to the Lord of the universe. We're going to look so good in heaven that we will probably need name tags to recognize one another.
