But God promised them a son - and He kept His promise. Their son, Isaac, was born. God told them that Isaac would be the father of 12 princes and a whole nation would come from him. When Isaac was born, God tested Abraham by telling him to sacrifice his precious son. But then God stopped him before Isaac was killed, and He promised Abraham that because he was going to follow God's command, God would bless Abraham, his family, and the whole world through him!
