Entrusted With Much: The Joy of Living GenerouslyEgzanp

Why Does God Want Me to Be Generous?
God himself is the ultimate generous giver. He embodies generosity. He gave us life, breath, and everything we have, including his own Son for our salvation. When we are generous, we mirror his character and share in the joy of giving.
But why does God call us to generosity? It’s not because he needs our money. It’s because he knows the joy and freedom that come when we give. Generosity breaks the hold that money can have on our hearts. It shifts our focus from self to others and from temporary things to eternal impact. God wants us to live open-handedly, trusting him as the provider, and allowing him to work through our resources to bless others and build his Kingdom.
Generosity is a way for us to participate in God’s work. It’s a chance to make a difference in the lives of others and to experience a deeper level of purpose in life. When we give, we are partnering with God to bring hope and love to a world in need. Ultimately, we are pleasing our Savior when we show him that his decision to entrust us with much was worth it!
Reflect: How might my generosity reflect God's heart, and how can I give in a way that brings me closer to him and impacts others?
