There are so many paths in life. When it comes to temptation, we always have more than one option and it can be hard to choose the right path. There are even some paths we can talk ourselves into believing are right when they lead to a place that is not beneficial. When we find ourselves stuck between conflicting paths, we should get in the habit of asking God, “What’s the next right step?” God can show us our next step and help us see when to get off an unhelpful path. We can trust God to point us in the right direction and to walk with us as we go forward.

Today, write a note with that one simple question, "What's the next right step?", and place it somewhere you’ll see it. After you’ve given in to temptation, remember this note and God’s forgiveness as you pray for God to reveal the next best step.
