Bible Survey: Part OneEgzanp

Chapters 9 to 15 emphasize the need for purity among the people. This is especially true of the priests. In chapter 10, Aaron’s sons are even struck dead for not worshipping God correctly.

Our chapter today specifies an annual ceremony that is used to cover the sin of the people. Hebrews 9:7 also points out that Jesus’ sacrifice is vastly superior since it is no longer only the high priest that has access to God. In addition to no longer needing repeated sacrifices and no longer having flawed priests, we no longer have limited access to God.
