It comes as no surprise to any of us that there are always consequences to our decisions. Good or bad, it seems that whatever choice we make is going to have some sort of impact on our lives, as well as the lives of our friends and family. We make the choice, and we accept whatever consequences will come our way. And when we make the wrong choice, when we decide to listen to the voice of temptation instead of the Holy Spirit, those consequences have an eternal weight to them. Scripture after scripture, we read that a life made of wrong decisions and selfish choices only leads to death. Maybe not a physical death, but a death of the life that was meant for you.
But there is hope. We have a God who loves us, even when the temptation is too strong. This doesn’t mean that our choice no longer has consequences, but it does mean that we are not left to them on our own. God’s love doesn’t require us to be perfect. He knows we will make mistakes. His love is so strong that He sacrificed His son to provide us a way back to Him when we’ve lost our way. A way that leads to an eternal life spent with Him. Today, spend some alone time in prayer, thanking God for the gift of His son and the gift of eternal life through Him.

Konsènan Plan sa a

We all have to deal with temptation at some point in our lives. Why does it have a hold on us and what can we do to break it? We’ll read what God says about temptation to see that while we each have temptations of our own, we never have to go through the struggles alone. Even when we’re faced with tempting thoughts, there is always a way through.
