God's Unconditional Love

Imagine I’m standing in front of you and I pull out a crisp, clean $10 bill. The value of that bill is ten American dollars. Imagine then if I scrunched the money up into a ball, stepped on it, and covered it in manure. At the beginning, the bill was worth $10. Now it’s creased, now it’s dirty—but what is the value of the bill? It’s still $10. My dear friend, you may feel creased, dirty, stepped on. But you have still not lost your value in God’s eyes. Why? Because you’re washed in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. God is not like us. His love is not dependent on circumstances or feelings. No, His love is unconditional and He has loved you with an everlasting love. Today’s Bible verse says that no “created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God.” Are you created? Yes, you are! So not even you can separate yourself from the love of God. Even if we are faithless, He will remain faithful. This is God demonstrating His deep love and grace. For it is by grace we have been saved.
