Paul continues to prophesy the end times in 2 Thessalonians as he describes Jesus’ return “in a blazing fire with his powerful angels” and the judgment and destruction that will occur. In Chapter 2, Paul also describes what is known as the antichrist or “man of lawlessness” who will “oppose and will exalt himself over everything else that is called God” during the end times. After you read today’s passages, ask yourself these questions: What did I learn about God? What did I find interesting about the way Jesus will return? How did I feel when I read about the destruction Paul described and the antichrist?
