One thing that we all struggle with at times is thinking that we are, in fact, better than the people around us. When we find ourselves believing that, we’re more likely to also be comparing ourselves to others, too. The opposite of that? It’s humility. Being humble, or not believing and acting like we are better than others, helps us remember who we are and who others are. It helps us see people as God does.
Putting others first is a great way to take the focus off of ourselves and instead, put it on others in a positive way. One of the simplest ways to do that is by serving someone else. Doing something to serve someone else can go a long way in helping you practice humility. It can help you to not compare yourself to others!
Ask yourself: What’s one way you can serve someone in your life this week?
