What The World Needs NowEgzanp

Psalm 145 tells us to whom we owe our thanks. The psalmist spills out praise to God—for His unfathomable greatness, His splendour and majesty, His goodness, His compassion, His faithfulness, His mercy, and His love "toward all He has made." I'm so glad that we have God to praise for every good thing.
What are you thankful to God for—today, tomorrow, and forevermore?
Our loving Father, we give You praise for every good gift You give us: for the wonders of Your creation, for all Your mercies towards us big and small, for each other, for the love You show us all. Thank You for all that You have done, and continue to do in our lives. We are thankful that we have You to thank! Amen.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love, the song goes. Absolutely—and yet the world needs more than love. In the West we're more anxious than ever, feeling the weight of too much choice and measuring our worth by our achievements. It's a good thing then that Jesus brings many, many blessings to a needy world.
