God's goodness and love make me keep my faith in Him, especially when hardness hits my life.

It is easy to lose faith during this confusing time in our generation. Confusion makes me vulnerable and weak, the fear—which is the opposite of faith—takes my mind and gives me false thoughts. However, God is good. His goodness is absolute and true. Because I believe in this, I can pray for God to give me the ability to see what is good and lead me to the right path that He has prepared for me. When I know the answer, I have nothing to be afraid of.

Because He loved me first, I have this longing for eternal life without worrying of separation from God; because I have been promised that the best will come, I can defeat the fear with the name of Jesus and His perfect love that casts out the fear.

David, in this scripture, despite his life being in great danger, created this song with faith in God and praised God’s goodness and love. He could do this because he did not face death and did not allow the fear to take him down, but instead, he turned his face to God and saw God’s goodness and love.
