How we live as Christians matters to God. The easiest way to gauge if how we are living is pleasing to God is to see if our words and actions imitate Christ. Another way to determine if our life is God-honouring is to see if it resembles a world of darkness where some things are unmentionable and are cloaked in secrecy. If this is the case, then it needs to be bathed in the radiant light of who Jesus is. When Jesus enters our lives, His very presence dispels the darkness and any remnant shade is gradually driven out by His luminescence.

It’s also important as we live the Christian life that we are wise about who we allow into our lives and who we are in relationship with. Bad company corrupts good character. This is true in more ways than one, which is why it is essential that every believer finds their place in the body of Christ and is committed to growing in their relationship with Christ and with fellow believers.
