Be Generous - Proverbs 11
I believe we are most like God when we are generous. One of the most famous verses in the Bible tells us that God loved us so much that He gave His one and only son (John 3:16). He not only gave, but He gave His best for us. He proved His love by giving.
It’s not all about giving money. Sometimes we need to be more generous with positive encouragement toward the people in our life. Someone once said we need to be generous with our three T’s - our time, talent, and treasure. I want to encourage you to think about how amazing and good and faithful God has been to you. Then, think of ways to be amazing, good, and faithful to other people. I believe God sends people into our lives every day who have needs, and we have the opportunity to meet those needs. When we do, we will be refreshed because we are more blessed when we give than when we receive (Acts 20:35). Pray and ask God to provide you with an opportunity to be generous today!
“Father, lead me to someone I can be generous to today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
