Through the Bible: ActsEgzanp

Witnessing Our Encounter with God
"Why is it thought incredible by any of you that God raises the dead?"
Acts 26:8 (ESV)
Paul raised this question as he believed he was charged because of what he said concerning resurrection of the dead. Behind all this is the disbelief in the absolute power of God.
Paul’s conviction comes from his personal encounter with Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus. He saw the risen Christ! When raising this powerful question and presenting his case to King Agrippa, Agrippa interrupted Paul and refused to be persuaded to be a Christian. Paul’s personal testimony however has reached many who read the Bible and this account of his witnessing.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, we thank You that You have risen and through the witnessing of Paul we are reminded not to limit the power of God. We pray Lord that we can also encounter You and that we too can be Your witness. And through our witnessing and testimonies, that You will open the eyes of those who do not know You. You will turn us from darkness to light, and that we all may receive the forgiveness of sins. Amen.
Konsènan Plan sa a

This book answers the question; ‘What’s next after believing in Jesus?’ Continuing the Gospel of Luke, Acts narrates the birth and development of the early church, and how the Holy Spirit empowered the disciples to spread the Gospel. Although it ends abruptly with Paul’s imprisonment in Rome, it leaves room for readers to extend the chapters, by following the footsteps of the early church with our remaining time on earth.
