We’ve already identified several indicators of the blueprint for our lives. These indicators fit into four major categories:

1. Presence

2. Passion

3. Path

4. Practice.

Every discerning and insightful person is concerned with where they are and where they are going. We desire to fulfill the purposes of our lives according to God’s plan. It is the quintessential question: “What is God’s will and plan for my life?”

God has gifted us with a life blueprint in four ways. He reveals the blueprint for our lives with His Presence, through our Passions, in our emerging Paths, and according to our life Practices.

First, God reveals His blueprints with His presence. A God-vision comes from the heart of God. We say a “God” vision because we want to pursue what God sees and what He shows us. Time spent listening to the heartbeat of God reveals His thoughts and intentions for His kingdom and our lives. What we hear and see in His presence is a blueprint for our lives.

Then, God reveals His blueprint through our passions. We worry so much about human passions and being led off of God’s path, but I firmly believe that God works through our emotions. When we submit ourselves to God, He begins to reveal Himself through our emotions. The things I care about, the things I passionately want to do with my life, are a blueprint to give me guidance and direction into the will of God. When you care about something, have the confidence in your relationship with Christ to allow yourself to believe that God promoted that concern within you.

Third, God reveals His blueprint through our paths. Our path is our past, present, and future. What paths have you walked? What is your story? What has God already done on your journey? Is our path our divine strategic plan for forward movement?

Fourth, God establishes His blueprint through practices. What you do daily, the actions you take, the habits you establish will take you where you are going whether you want to go there or not. What you put into practice will come to fruition. The things you practice shape the future.

These four indicators form the blueprint that God has for your life. Listen, and He will provide the blueprint for you.
