Moments for Mums: Hope - Part 1Egzanp

I used to pride myself on being a very emotionally stable person in my younger years. I didn’t cry easily and I felt fairly even-keeled most of the time.

To my horror, motherhood has done a number on my hormones and now, every month before my period arrives, I feel like my world is falling apart. No matter how great everything seemed the week before, I suddenly feel that everything is going wrong and it’s all hopeless.

Perhaps you don’t suffer from hormonal fluctuations, but you’re facing a very real and painful trial.

We all have moments or seasons when everything feels hopeless, but no matter what, we can have hope in knowing that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Jesus. 

Having this hope doesn’t take away the hard things in life, but it does give us eyes to see beyond them. Better days are coming, because of God’s great love for us.

Dear Lord, Thank you for your steadfast and steady love. Thank you that nothing can separate me from your love in Jesus Christ. 

Please help me to remember and walk in this truth today. Help me to face every challenge and trial in the hope and security of your love. Amen.
