What is worship?

Worship is showing a crazy amount of love and respect for something. Worship shows what is most important to you. God made us to worship Him.

Before we know Jesus, we worship things or people who don’t deserve our worship. Think about it this way. You might talk about videos all the time, or get super excited about money, or even be obsessed with your best friend. All of those things are fun, but they’re not all-powerful, and they can let you down.

When you start to follow Jesus, you get to know God. You find out that God’s the only one who deserves to be worshiped. You realize He’s so big, so great, and so powerful—and you are so small! That makes all the other things you’ve worshiped less important, and makes you want to have a crazy amount of love and respect only for God!

That’s the kind of worship God made you to do.
