Have you ever come upon a roadblock or detour while in the car? It’s usually a sign that something unsafe is ahead, and you need to take a different route. If you keep going on that same road, it won’t end well. While God doesn’t use actual roadblocks in our lives, God has placed people in our lives to help steer us away from the paths that are dangerous for us—the paths that may lead us to hurt ourselves or others or to sin. Our friends, our small group leaders, our siblings, and even our parents can all act as help to encourage us away from giving into temptation and toward God’s plan. Who is the person like that in your life? This week, thank them for helping you stay on the right path.
