Hope Thou In God

“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.” Psalms‬ ‭42:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Why art though cast down, O my soul? When the winds of life try to overtake you — choose to trust in the Lord. When the waves of life try to sink your ship choose to trust in the Lord. Don’t lose hope. Choose to shift your focus. Focus on Christ and choose to shift your praise. Choose to shift your confession. Instead of complaining choose to praise the Lord.

Psalms‬ ‭78:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:” Keep His Commandments and praise the Lord. Choose to hide His Word within the borders of your heart and choose to praise the Lord.

Completely shift your focus. Shift your mindset and set your hope in the Lord. “So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands.” Psalms‬ ‭78:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬. Teach each generation to set their hope in the Lord. Don’t lose hope. Choose to hope in the Lord.
