Reflect

John and Peter were anointed by Jesus and given the power to perform miracles much like Jesus did. The temple leaders became very annoyed and told John and Peter to never speak of Jesus Christ again. What did Peter and John say when they were told never to speak about Jesus? When Peter and John returned to the church, how did the church respond? What did the apostles ask of God in response to adversity (v.29-31)? When was the last time I shared my faith with someone else?

Lord Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, bless me with the same boldness of your disciples Peter and John. Help me stand strong in my faith even when others doubt you. Amen.
