Repeat The Mistake
Have we learned from our mistakes? Experience teaches us that mistakes can be costly and even fatal. God allows us to experience these times to build our faith and trust in His plans for us. Judah and his brothers committed the mistake of getting rid of Joseph because of jealousy and blind hatred. They witnessed the agony and soul wrenching despair of their father, Jacob, when he heard the news that his beloved son was dead. Today's scripture tells us that Judah will not make the same mistake again. He says it with great emotional force, "No!" Can you hear in his voice that his past mistake will not happen again?
Prayer: Thank you Lord of heaven and earth for granting me mercy, grace, and forgiveness of my sins, mistakes, and failures. You are rich in mercy and full of kindness. I pray that from these experiences that my faith will grow stronger and you will be glorified. May your will be done in my life. In Jesus' name. Amen.
