I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice.

What if we flipped leadership on its head? Instead of a shepherd who directs the sheep to fulfill his own purposes, what if the shepherd created an environment where each sheep could live their life to the fullest? Jesus fulfilled this description of a Good Shepherd, taking into consideration every single sheep and their unique gifts and needs. What if leaders approach followers in a similar way? 

Good Shepherd, even in this era of social distancing, I ask that you show me how to create an hospitable environment that encourages full-life living to the people I interact with. Teach me how to be a good shepherd.
