The Bible is full of stories of people who repeatedly asked God for something. Sometimes they got what they wanted, and sometimes they didn’t. So the next time you find yourself asking God for something, try expanding your idea of what an “answer” to that prayer may look like. 

Sure, maybe things will turn out the way you want. But it could be that an answer to your prayer is you finding peace and a greater sense of God’s presence no matter what happens.
