Love reveals God’s character in us as believers in Christ. It is what distinguishes us from the people of the world. The love that Jesus referred to in John 13:35 gives us the power to love our enemies. It is only by the power of God’s love that we can bless those who curse us, do good to those who hate us, and pray for those who despitefully use us (Luke 6:27-35 KJV). In so doing, we become a reflection of God’s love to the world.
