Samuel’s Farewell Address

1. What does this passage teach you about God?
2. What does this teach you about humanity and the world?
3. Samuel reminds the Israelites of God’s past faithfulness. How has Israel responded to God’s faithfulness and provision in the past and in 1 Samuel?
4. How has God been faithful in your life? Take time to write down 5 examples here. How would your life be different if you remembered His faithfulness?
5. One of the best gifts we have been given as believers is eternal life through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Spend some time praying and thanking the Lord for His gracious gift (Romans 5:8).

God, thank you for your faithfulness and steadfast love. I confess that I forget the ways you have taken care of me and look to other people and things for satisfaction. Help me to remember that you are better than anything that this world has to offer.
