He Is How We Get Holy

Sin is like spaghetti sauce; it stains everything it touches. Holiness cannot be transferred or earned. It begins in the heart. You can’t be right with God because of your parent’s faith, your spouse’s faith, the church you attend, or anyone else’s standing with God.

You will stand in front of God alone at the end of the age. And the only thing that will matter is your own standing with Christ. People can only be made holy by their repentant response to Jesus’ sacrifice. When we were defiled by our own sin, God made a way for us to be holy and right with Him! Just as in Haggai’s time, without God our sin defiles us.
