A-S-K! The three letters of “ask” help us to remember the very important invitation that is extended to us: Ask, and it will be given to you; Seek, and you will find; Knock, and it will be opened to you. Think back on your prayers over the past six weeks. What has been the focus of what you are asking God? Notice in Jesus’s teaching that God promises the Holy Spirit to those who ask persistently. The Holy Spirit is the one who gives us power to be witnesses.

Engage

Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:

· What does it say about God?

· What does it say about us?

· Is there a promise to trust?

· Is there a command to obey?

· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?

· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
