Philippians: True and Lasting JoyEgzanp

Joy in Being an Example
Is your life worthy of being imitated? Can your friends follow your example? Can your family consider you as a role model? Can people see your good works and glorify God?
In this world, people imitate those who are successful, talented, wealthy, trendy and famous. The gospel has a different parameter. Your life is worthy of being imitated only if it reflects Christ. It is not our worldly success or accomplishments that make us worthy of being imitated. It is a deep love for Christ and living a life worthy of the gospel that should call others to imitate.
A person who follows Jesus has their mind on heavenly things. Their preoccupation in this world is about Christ and His kingdom. Their citizenship is in heaven which means they live on earth as temporary residents. They enjoy life on earth but they know where they belong. Their hope is in the return of their Saviour, Christ Jesus.
Do you have people in your life who you imitate? We can learn so much from others who follow Jesus humbly and faithfully. Do you have people in your life who can imitate you for your godly example?
