Acts 1 begins with the followers of Jesus huddled in the upper room, terrified of the Romans hunting them down.
Having risen from the dead, Jesus has now ascended to Heaven, leaving His team with a mission to spread the Good News in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the Earth.
This is the equivalent of saying “to our city, our region, other regions and the Whole World.”
God had promised to be with them in unknown territory, making the unknown far less daunting for them.
Our New Normal is that we know God has gone ahead of us and therefore we don't have to be afraid of the future.
