Sometimes obedience is hard, but one thing that makes it easier is knowing that what we’ll get in the end is worth it. Cleaning your room suddenly gets easier when you’re promised time to play video games afterward. And studying for that test isn’t so bad when you get the good grade back. When Jesus died on the cross, He was being obedient, too. He did what God asked Him to do, and even though it was hard, to Him, it was worth it. Why? Because of His love for us! He was obedient to a death on the cross because He knew what He would give us in return was worth it. Talk to someone today about what Jesus’ obedience back then means for you today.
