On Mission with the Lord
Acts 23:11
“The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, ‘Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.’”
As we live with risk-taking obedience on mission with Jesus, he is for us not against us. Jesus desires to give us new courage for the challenges before us. His call to us is that we boldly testify about him and his gospel throughout the world. There are sometimes specific places where Jesus calls us to testify. Jesus was on a mission to reach Rome and the leadership of the Roman empire. Jesus wanted his gospel proclaimed to Caesar’s household and the inhabitants of Rome. There is no kingdom, no city that is outside of Jesus’ mission scope. He desires to involve us in his mission and fill us with courage this day.
Lord Jesus, your presence this day is my encouragement. Thank you for new courage to live for you on mission.
