Complete the Task

Acts 20:24, 25
“…if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace…I have gone about preaching the kingdom…”

Paul was given a task, as everyone who is a follower of Jesus has also been given. Paul’s task was to testify to the gospel of God’s grace, preaching the message which invited people into God’s kingdom. He was clear on that personal calling until the end of his life. That was Paul’s race.

What is our race?

What have I been called to do by the Lord Jesus?

Am I crystal clear on that life calling?

Does the Holy Spirit empower me for that calling?

Am I faithful in living and pursuing that personal calling?

Will I finish the race marked out for me?

Thank you Jesus for your clear call on Paul’s life and on my life. I too commit to finishing the race marked out for me and to completing the task you have given me in your kingdom.
