Who’s Singing the Song of Moses?
Revelation 15:3-4
“Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”
The revelation of God’s mercy in Christ is at the heart of the gospel we proclaim throughout the world. It is God’s judgments which also proclaim His justice and truth, and call nations back to worship the King of the ages. This end time song of Moses and the Lamb is an echo of the song sung after God’s judgments of Egypt which confronted the gods of that nation. All nations will worship the Lord God Almighty, either by responding to His great mercy in Christ or His righteous acts in judgment. The saints are called to fully identify with the Kingdom of God – even as He judges their nation. The song of Moses challenges our loyalties and calls us to find our identity fully in God.
Lord God Almighty, you are my King and I worship you alone. Release my nation from idolatry and set us free to join your inheritance.
