Isaiah 55:2-3, 6
“Listen, listen to me and eat what is good and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; hear me that your soul may live…seek the Lord while he may be found…”
What we delight in we pursue and invest in. The most creative, loving, all powerful, dynamic Being in the universe desires relationship with us and wants to speak to us. His invitation to us is that we come, that we seek Him, and that we listen to Him. God’s words are personal, they are loving, they are life giving and they are satisfying to our soul. We were made to commune with God as our best friend. When God’s words come we eat them, digest them and they nourish us.
What are we eating today? Is it satisfying? Why are we not listening to the life giving Spirit of God?
Lord Jesus, my ears are open to you today. You are my life and what I delight in. Thank you for your invitation to seek your face today.
