Your Journey To GratitudeEgzanp

DAY FIVE: Seek God, Ask God
Adoring gratitude leads us ever deeper into the heart of God. There we find the ultimate satisfaction our soul craves in intimate relationship with our God.
Surrender, submission, selflessness—all lead to ultimate satisfaction found only in complete abandonment to our Creator. It is a theological and experiential reality that when we bow in subservient worship to God, we are filled with joy. When we get rid of our egos and independence, we find ourselves filled with glorious, abundant peace. We are at peace with ourselves because we have found peace in God. Then we are full of joy because we love God and depend on Him, not ourselves.
We must never forget that the fountain of our inner life toward God is receiving the love of God by believing His promises.
Why not bow your heart before our awesome Creator, and ask Him to satisfy your deepest longings with His presence? Jesus will respond, for He summons you to choose to renounce your independent, self-reliant ways and seek His love. As you embrace the loving heart of your Creator, you will begin to understand and appreciate the wonder that fills all of life.
