Ephesians: 7-Day Reading Plan By Doxa DeoEgzanp

Chapter 1
What God has done for us.
In chapter 1, Paul greets the believers, and calls them faithful, loyal and steadfast.
Are you a faithful, loyal and steadfast believer?
Chapter 1 contains many foundational truths that form the basis of our faith. It outlines what God has done for us through Jesus Christ.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places… " (Ephesians 1:3)
We need to understand that we function from the premise of BEING blessed, as opposed to trying to GET God’s blessing. In Christ we ARE blessed.
How does the FACT that you are blessed with every spiritual blessing, change the way you live your life? The way you pray?
"In love, he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ … "(Ephesians 1:5)
In Roman culture, adoption meant that the adopted son had FULL authority and rights as an heir. In addition, an adopted son could never be disowned. In Christ, we have been given the right to become children of God (John 1:12).
What does living like a child of God look like to you?
In the last portion of chapter 1, Paul expresses thanksgiving and prays for the Ephesians to have the revelation of the reality of the hope, inheritance and the immeasurable power which is available to us in Christ Jesus.
Do you KNOW His great power?
Read chapter 1 prayerfully.
Memory Verse:
Ephesians 1:11 (MSG) It is in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for.
