Enough: Lent DevotionalsEgzanp

ENOUGH: BALANCE
“For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” (Colossians 1:19-20)
We believe that the abundance of the earth belongs to all of us, and ultimately to God. And that comes with responsibilities to steward it carefully – with the whole of society engaged in repairing creation.
Many of the changes require our sacrifice – but also, paradoxically, offer us the chance to live more fully. To live like this, we need to choose not to conform with the lifestyle patterns around us, but to raise our voices in witness to the injustices that we see all around us. If we can rise to the challenge, then the force of our actions and words will have real prophetic power.
Dear Lord Jesus, renew our spirits and cleanse our hearts. Renew our minds and transform our lives. Renew our cities and rebuild our ruins. Renew our world, in Your name we pray, amen.

Konsènan Plan sa a

In God’s eyes, we are more than enough. It’s why He sent His son to reconcile us to Him. Though we may never grasp just how much He loves us, at Lent we can take time to reflect on all He did for us. It's time to reject the message that we aren’t enough, and instead remember Christ died for us, just as we are.
