Expect The ExtraordinaryEgzanp

Expect adventure
You cannot fully prepare for an adventure, you never know what will happen. But you can expect adventure and prepare your heart for it.
If you approach Christmas knowing exactly what is going to happen, you’ll probably have a great time, but it won’t be anything new. But if you ask God for an adventure this Advent, you might discover something new about Him, and maybe even travel to different places.
Looking for inspiration on how to do this? Turn to the real adventure of the nativity in the Bible:
Mary and Joseph headed off into the unknown; no plans of where to stay and no idea what was ahead of them. The shepherds didn’t run away from adventure because they were frightened, they ran fearlessly, with excitement, to discover something incredible. And the wise men travelled with determined faith, knowing that if they kept following God they would be going in the right direction. They were led to the most amazing thing possible – to the savior of the world.
Father, we want an adventure this Christmas. Help us to be risk takers like Mary and Joseph, to recognize exciting opportunities like the shepherds, and make us determined like the wise men to keep going until we see your glory. Amen.
