THE EMPOWERED LIFE!

Two of the key next steps after we choose to follow Jesus are to get water baptized and to get baptized with the Holy Spirit. Both are powerful and incredible experiences of this life with Christ.

The choice to follow Jesus is a personal one.  Your moment of saying yes to Jesus may have been done in a public setting or an individual setting, but our life with Jesus was never meant to be private. After becoming a Christian, you get water baptized because it’s a public statement of aligning yourself with Jesus in His death and in His resurrection. When you go under the water, it declares you're leaving your old life and when you come up out of the water, it’s showing that you are now alive in Christ!

Then Jesus wants to baptize you with the power of the Holy Spirit. God doesn't leave us on our own, but sends his Holy Spirit to live with and empower followers of Jesus! The Holy Spirit guides, comforts, instructs and empowers the believer to walk in the supernatural power of God!

Action: Ask the Holy Spirit to empower you to boldly follow Jesus in all areas of life!
