As Moses meditates in the tabernacle God gives him directions on offerings: peace, sin, and trespass offerings. On the fourth day of Abib (Nisan) the head of the tribe of Reuben brings an offering.
Note 1 (Leviticus): The Hebrew name for this sub-book is God calls which is a more appropriate name because it is the call of God to the whole people to be holy, not just the Levites. God wants them all to be disciplined, holy and completely obedient so as to be ready to stand against the evil spiritual powers that ruled the land they would soon be entering.
