Challenge Accepted: PrayerEgzanp

If you aren’t familiar with the Old Testament story of Jonah, it’s a short book and certainly worth a read. At this moment in the story, Jonah has fled from God, been thrown overboard in the sea, and swallowed by a giant fish (or whale, or sea monster…we can’t be sure). From within the belly of this giant sea creature (which the previous chapter reveals was sent BY GOD to save Jonah’s life), Jonah cries out to God in repentance. What can we apply to our prayers from Jonah’s outcry in those moments when we have run from God and are brought to our knees in repentance?
