Jesus sets the standard for a servant’s heart. He surrendered His desires, comfort, family, pride and glory. He was obedient to the point of death in order to accomplish the will of His Father. Jesus chose to serve God above all else, and served all of humanity with the gift of eternal life.
In the same way, we are called to be servants of God. He has given us the ultimate gift of life and paid a debt we could never pay. When we recognize the magnitude of His love for us, we cannot help but worship Him.
God’s heart is for His people. When we choose to serve Him, He uses our worship to supernaturally move in the lives of others. We do not serve God based off how we feel. We serve Him because He is worthy of honor.
God owes us nothing, yet He has given us everything. Let us offer our lives to Him, and join with all creation singing, Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty!
