I’ve given you authority to stomp on snakes and scorpions, to destroy all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you.

“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are anxious and upset about many things, but few things are needed—actually, only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

He replied, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind,’ and, ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ ”

He told them, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest field.

“Which of the three,” Jesus asked, “do you think was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by the robbers?” The expert in the law replied, “The one who took care of him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do as he did.”
