Sermon Title: Radical Humility

Immanuel means "God with us."

Jesus who was in heaven left heaven and came down to earth as a helpless baby.

This is an act of radical humility. The God of the universe would come down and be born in a feeding trough.

Then your going to live in Nazareth.

Talk about going low….Jesus modeled a radical life of humility and he expects the same from his People.

The best way up is down!

We serve the God who washed the feet of the one who betrayed him!

This is radical humility!! I'm going to serve others first. I'm not going to make it about me.

People were trying to strategically place themselves in seats of Honor.

We cannot use our own strategies to get to places of honor and disregard the kingdom way of exaltation which comes from humility.

Stop trying to place yourself in a certain seat or a certain proximity to leadership to get you to a position that you don't have the humility to maintain.

Self promotion has no place in the kingdom of God.

There is something wonderful about knowing that God has raised you up, instead of you raising yourself up.

Dont just sit at the lowest place to go higher either. Be content with where God has you!!

Watch out for jealousy for who God decides to use differently than you!!
Take your rightful seat at church.

What are you doing for Just for people to see?

How can we be "great" in the kingdom? You go low. You go unheard, you go unseen!!

There have been churches and ministries who have made you think the platform is the highest seat in the church, they were wrong the most valuable seat is the one God has placed you in.

We're going to get to heaven and be so surprised by who has the most rewards!!

What does radical humility look like in your life right now?
Are you in an argument with a family member?
A coworker?
A boss?
People who have wronged you?
What can you do to serve your family and those around you?
Lets outdo one another in showing honor, lets go low in the community and serve.
Have you been trying to self promote and sit in the seats God has placed you in?
The gifts you have and the place you're sitting is less than others, it's just simply where God wants you.

if you've had it wrong today, simply repent and start going low and being grateful for where God has you.
