RHODA as a Guiding Star

DAY 1 OF 7

RELIABLE: Trustworthy in All Circumstances

Key Texts
• Acts 12:13-16 (Rhoda‘s reliability)
• Luke 16:10: "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much."
• Genesis 39:2-4 (Joseph's reliability in Potiphar’s house)

Discussion:
• Rhoda’s role in Acts 12 shows how even the smallest tasks can be important when done reliably. Her responsibility to answer the door played a crucial role in the miracle of Peter s release.

• Joseph is another biblical example of someone who proved reliable even in challenging circumstances. His trustworthiness in Potiphar s house led to God elevating him to a place of great influence.

Application:
Reflect on a recent situation where you had the opportunity to be reliable. How can you continue to develop this quality in your life and workplace?

Joseph (Genesis 37-41)

Role: Slave and prisoner
Key Verse: But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love.....(Genesis 39:21)

Significance:
Joseph's journey from a beloved son to a slave and prisoner in Egypt demonstrates how God can use even the lowest of positions for His glory. Despite being sold into slavery by his brothers, Joseph maintained his integrity and faith in God. His ability to interpret dreams eventually led him to rise to the position of second-in-command in Egypt, where he saved many people, including his own family, during a time of famine. Joseph's story highlights God's sovereignty over every circumstance.

Application in the Workplace: Joseph's life teaches the importance of staying faithful and trusting God even when working under difficult circumstances. God can elevate you to places of influence when you remain steadfast.
