Rebuilding Faith After a Financial Setback

DAY 3 OF 3

If you're still breathing, God’s not done with your story. That financial failure? It may have slowed you down, but it didn’t stop your purpose. The enemy wants you stuck in regret. God wants you walking in redemption.

Yes, your money story has had some hard pages. But that’s not the whole book. We serve a God who specializes in redemption. He doesn’t just patch things up. He makes all things new. That means new opportunities, new mindsets, and new discipline.

Let’s stop rehearsing what went wrong and start declaring what’s next. You’re not disqualified. You’re being developed. God is shifting your focus from what you lost to what He’s launching. So apply for that new job. Start that side hustle. Sign up for that financial class. Don’t let fear of failing again stop you from walking in faith.

He will supply your needs. He will open doors. But you’ve got to walk through them. So rise up, child of God. Your faith and finances are on the rebound, and your future is still blessed.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What “former things” do you need to release so God can do a new thing?
  2. How would your life look if you truly believed your future is secure in Christ?

Journal Prompt:

Describe your ideal financial future—not just with numbers, but with freedom, peace, and purpose. What would it feel like to live that future with God’s help?

Let’s end this devotional as we started it: with a mindful prayer.

Father, thank You for being the God of fresh starts. Even when I’ve messed up, lost money, or made bad choices, You’ve never canceled my calling.

I let go of the past today–my regrets, my shame, and my self-doubt–and I lean into the new thing You’re doing. Fill me with hope again. Show me what’s possible with You at the center of my financial life. I trust that You’ll meet all my needs. Not just with money, but with peace, wisdom, and opportunities.

Help me walk by faith and not fear. I declare that my future is blessed, and I’m moving forward. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Thank you so much for spending this time with me. I pray that these words reach you at the right point in your spiritual journey. If you find yourself looking for practical ways to start your own wealth wellness journey, there are free resources at www.anthonyoneal.com
