The Birth That Changed Everything

When you think about it, all of history pivots on one event: the birth of Jesus Christ.

Our calendars split time itself into “before” and “after” His coming. Isaiah prophesied centuries earlier: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).

This child was no ordinary baby - He was the King of Kings, born to rule forever. His birth changed the world, but even more, it changed you and it still changes lives today. Through Him, everything becomes new. The Bible says, If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17).

If you have received Jesus as you’re Savior, you are different than others who haven’t received Him. You are a brand new creature - something you never were before, someone with the Spirit of God living inside you! The very life and nature of God have been imparted to your spirit.

You’ve passed from death to life, from darkness to light. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now dwells in you, giving life to your body, wisdom to your mind, and peace to your heart. You’re no longer limited to natural ability - you are God-indwelt! His presence empowers you to live above sin, sickness, and fear. You are not ordinary - you are born of God!

And that makes all the difference.

Christmas reminds us that God’s answer to darkness was to send His light into the world. His answer to sin was a Savior. His answer to hopelessness was hope Himself. And now that light and that hope lives in you.

As you celebrate Christmas, don’t miss the awe of what happened in Bethlehem. The birth of Christ wasn’t just a moment in history – it’s the reason you can live forgiven, free, and full of purpose today.
