God With Us

To celebrate Christmas is to celebrate the most incredible truth in history: God came to us! Matthew 1:23 declares, The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel (which means ‘God with us’).

Think about that! God is with us. He didn’t just send a message or an angel. He didn’t holler down from heaven, “I love you!” No, He came Himself.

John 1:14 says, The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. The Creator entered His creation! The infinite became an infant. This is the miracle of Christmas. God loved you so much that He came down into your world.

He came to save you, and then to help you and love you every day of your life. He came to make you a member of His family, and ensure that you would spend eternity in heaven with Him. What an unspeakable gift!

Jesus knows what it’s like to walk this earth, to experience hunger, pain, and even rejection. And because of that, you can trust Him with every part of your life.

As you look at the manger this Christmas, remember: it isn’t just a sweet story - it’s the announcement that God is with you. Whatever you face, He has drawn near – He is with you! Every time you draw near to Him, He draws near to you (James 4:8). You are free to invite Him into every part of your life.
